Heading into the Florida State match-up, Alabama returns Calvin Ridley. Calvin Ridley is Alabama’s go to returning receiver. The 6’1” 188 lbs. rising junior, had a dip in production in 2016 compared to 2015. He played well in the spring game, but spring game numbers don’t matter.
Many believe Ridley will be the next big-time receiver to leave Alabama after 3-seasons. Following in the footsteps of former Alabama wide receivers, Julio Jones (Atlanta Falcons) and Amari Cooper (Oakland Raiders).
Alabama should have a few break-out receivers in 2017 as well. Jerry Jeudy, incoming freshman, had a huge A-day performance. Jeudy received the A-day MVP honors after catching 5 passes for 134 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Florida State will a have a few questions at wide receivers. Although most of the receivers are returning, the jury is still out on if they can show up when the game matters.
One receiver who has proven he can show-up in the big games for Florida State is Nyqwan “Noonie” Murray.
Murray came on late for the Seminoles in 2016. He recorded only 27 receptions and 5 touchdowns. His biggest performance was against NC State; where he caught 9 passes for 153 yards. Murray also caught the game winning pass against Michigan in the Capital One Orange Bowl.
The 5’11” 176 lbs. rising junior, is looking to go into the 2017 season as the top receiver on Florida State’s offense.
