Lonzo Ball
Well the reason Lonzo Ball is at the top of my list mainly because he has continued to improve almost every game. For those who do not know why Lonzo has not put up huge scoring numbers, let me tell you why?
We have come to love high scoring players, mainly point guards, but the way the NBA works is that a point guards job is to facilitate the ball. The point guard is goal is to get his teammates into the right position so that a play can be ran effectively. Lonzo has done that so far. A good game for him is 10pts, 15 assists, and 10 rebounds.

Lonzo has done well so far, this season putting the Lakers in position to win the game. Lonzo is averaging 10.4 pts, 7.0 assists, and 7.3 rebounds per game. His goal is not to be Michael Jordan, but Magic Johnson.
Not every player wants to be Jordan, and not every player has the relentless drive to capture that NBA legend. Some just want to be great enough so that their name will be remembered for the next great NBA run.
Ben Simmons
Ben Simmons is a 2016 NBA Draft player. He was drafted #1 overall to the Philadelphia 76ers back in 2016, but was injured and sat out the entire season. 2017 has become his official NBA debut season, and so far, he has shown us he can play with the best of them.

Simmons is averaging 18.4 pts per game with 7.7 assists. Simmons has also used his large frame to average 9.1 rebounds per game. Simmons is a tall point guard who has the talent to become the next Lebron James if he works hard.
Simmons has the 76ers on the right trail to get back into the playoffs. In Simmons latest game against the Atlanta Hawks, he had 19pts, 9 assists, and 13 rebounds. He was 1 assist away from getting a triple double.
Lauri Markkanen
The 7’0 power forward out of Arizona has done well in the first 2 weeks of the season. He has managed average 15.6 pts per game for the Chicago Bulls. Lauri Markkanen might be the piece the Bulls could build around.
After the Bulls cleaned house this off-season, I expect the Bulls to try and maintain what they have until the next draft. The Bulls need younger pieces if they hope to stay relevant in the east, and Markkanen is a bright spot for them.

Lauri Markkanen could be the next great Bull if he manage to maintain and improve his current numbers.
