It’s only November, but it is never too early to project into the future. So, I’m going to put my best guest as to who will make the NBA playoffs from the West and the East. If you have a problem with my picks, comment.
I will go in order from #1-seed to #8 in both conferences.
West
- Golden State Warriors
- Houston Rockets
- San Antonio Spurs
- Oklahoma City Thunder
- Minnesota Timberwolves
- Portland Trail Blazers
- Memphis Grizzles
- New Orleans Pelican
East
- Cleveland Cavaliers
- Boston Celtics
- Toronto Raptors
- Milwaukee Bucks
- Washington Wizards
- Philadelphia 76ers
- Detroit Pistons
- Miami Heat
Obviously, these projections could change in a major way. Some of these teams are playing really well so far this season, but I do see some falling later on in the season, and this is why I have a team like the Detroit Pistons, who are currently #2 in the Eastern conference, barely making the playoffs.
The Bucks might be a surprise to some non-NBA fans, but if you have been watching the Bucks ball for the last 3 years then you would know why I have them 4th going into the NBA playoffs next summer.
