On a cold Friday, The #2 Miami Hurricanes 16-game winning streak has come to an end. The Canes played on the edge all season, and it finally caught up to them in the last game of the season against an okay Pittsburgh team.
Last season, the Pittsburgh Panthers pulled off another major upset over the eventual 2017 National Champion Clemson Tigers. So, it should be of no surprise that the Panthers pulled off another major upset. The game was on a Friday in Pittsburgh, in sub-fifty degree weather, and it was senior night. The Panthers were ready, and the Cane were cold.
2017 Miami Hurricanes:
10-1 (10-1, 7-1 ACC)
Coastal ChampionsRemember, this is just year two of the Mark Richt era. It is supposed to be a REBUILDING season.
And still, if the Canes beat Clemson in ACC Championship, they SHOULD be in the College Football Playoff.

Miami’s offense, which has started slow majority of the season, started very slow. The Canes never got hot against Pittsburgh, even with the Turnover Chain making an appearance twice.
Miami did bench their starting quarterback Malik Rosier, but he was eventually put back in to the game.
It hurts and it's supposed to hurt. This team has the heart of a champion, and next week it gets the chance to become one. The great thing in this sport…redemption is just a week away. #Canes #BeatClemson 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽

Is this the end of a National Title run for The U? No.
Depending on where Miami falls in the rankings will decide on weather the Canes can get back into the playoff conversation. The Canes play 1-loss #3 Clemson Tigers in the ACC Championship game, but if the Canes come out flat like they did against Pittsburgh, it might be a long night. Hopefully the Pittsburgh game was a wake-up call for the Cane, and Hopefully their title hopes aren’t gone.
The 2017 National Champions Clemson Tigers one loss was to Pittsburgh.
The 2018 National Champions Miami Hurricanes one loss was to Pittsburgh?
