Falcon’s Rookie Expected to have a huge year

One of the players to watch for in 2018 will be Atlanta Falcons rookie receiver, Calvin Ridley. The Alabama product left school early to enter the 2018 NFL draft. He was selected by the Falcons in the first round.

Ridley had an impressive college career for the Crimson tide as he quickly became a point of emphasis for defensive coordinators to try and stop. Ridley was essential in the 2 national titles the tide won while he was there.

Now, he enters the Crowded receiver room with another Alabama great, Julio Jones. Julio is the gold standard in NFL for big receivers in the NFL. Ridley is not as big as Jones, but the expectations are. Ridley is expected to be a receiver who could move all around the field.

The Falcons are only a year removed from the being the Superbowl runner-ups in the Super Bowl eras first Overtime game. Many thought the Falcons let the Superbowl get away from them after going up 25 in the 3rd quarter only to watch, the greatest quarterback in NFL history, Tom Brady, come back and steal the show.

Next year’s Super Bowl will be in Atlanta, Georgia, and if Ridley can be as big of an impact as he was the Crimson Tide, the Falcons should at least get to the NFC championship to play for a chance to return home to play at home.
