The #2 Argos Pull away late to secure the Win

We all know how last year ended for the Argos; they loss in a close battle for the DII National Title. Some say it was way too early for the Argos to be where they were last season, but this year the Argos look to finish what they started. The Argos start the 2018 football season against #22 Carson-Newman; a top 25 matchup will a lot of hype behind it for the Argos.

The Argos started early with defensive stops and quick field goals to take a quick 6-0 lead in the first. Carson-Newman would tie the game before long and take the lead before halftime.

The Argos could contribute the slow start due to an injury to starting quarterback Mike Beaudry mid-way through the 1st. Backup quarterback and Georgia transfer Sam Vaughn would come into the game to lead the Argos.
