The USA Gymnastics has taken another hit after the Larry Nassar scandal. Chief operations officer, Ron Galimore has resigned from his position.
The USA Gymnastics is facing decertification after the Larry Nassar scandal. If you all do not remember, Larry Nassar was charged with sexual assault and possession of child pornography. Larry was the team doctor who was accused of sexually abusing hundreds of female athletes while he was supposed to be administering treatment to the athletes. This happened at USA Gymnastics as well as at Michigan State where he previously worked.
Welcome to everyone shocked to discover that institutions cover up rape.
May I introduce you to the Catholic Church, 99% of campuses, USA Gymnastics, the National Ballet of Canada, Silicon Valley, and on and on and on?
What’s shocking about St. Mike’s is how common it is.

Ron Galimore was one of the executives who provided a cover story for Larry Nassar’s absence from the USA Gymnastics events in 2015 while Nassar was being investigated. More than 350 female athletes came forth over the abuse. Ron Galimore kept his position as COO with USA Gymnastics until now, which was a source of anger and frustration for the survivors of Nassar’s abuse, who said it showed the federation was not sincere about changing a culture that allowed a sexual predator to thrive.
Larry Nassar is serving a long prison term, and he won’t be hurting anyone else..
