Raines Vikings are 4A Florida State Champions again

The Raines Vikings returned to the state championship for the 2nd time in 2 years. The first appearance the Viking won in a close game over the Cocoa Tigers. But in the 4A state championship rematch of last season thriller, the Raines Vikings left no question to be made on the field. The Vikings came into Orlando and took care of business once again. Beating Cocoa 27-13 with a dominating defensive performance. 

The Vikings had some extra motivation on the sideline as the former Raines Viking and NFL Hall of Famer, Brian Dawkins, strolled the sideline. The Vikings came pumped and secured the trophy again, bring it back to Jacksonville for the second consecutive time. The Raines Vikings are the only public school in Jacksonville to have won a Football State Championship. The Viking also have had the most NFL players drafted to the NFL among all Jacksonville High Schools.
