Do the Jaguars have their quarterback of the future with Gardner Minshew? In this mock draft, the Jaguars look towards the defense for improvements in the first round. The Dolphins find their QB and the guy to hold the line while he grows with the team.
You might be surprised with who goes in the first round.
1. Bengals: Joe Burrow, Quarterback, LSU
We can not deny the obvious, Joe Burrow took the biggest leap of any quarterback in the history of college football. It is damn near impossible to improve this much in just one offseason. The guy has been an animal in the pocket and he is a leader. Burrow in 2018 completed just 57% of his passes, 16 touchdowns through the air, and only 5 interceptions. Nothing in the stats presented showed this guy to be a future #1 overall pick, but once 2019 season began, the new Joe presented himself. 2019 stats include 60 touchdowns, 6 interceptions, and a 76% completion percentage. The Cincinnati Bengals need a QB like that on their team. Once more, Joe is an Ohio kid. He would get the immediate support from the state of Ohio. The Bengals have pieces, but they are 3 to 4 years away. He would be a fresh change from Andy Dalton.
