I don’t know why we are so in aw of what Damian Lillard has been doing in the NBA bubble. The clutch shots and 4th Quarter performances are what Dame-Time is all about.
I remember when he knocked out OKC with a dagger from the 3-point that stunned many people because the Blazers had knocked out a contender. Not only was that a sign of his greatness, but what others considered career suicide was his best play yet. Dame resigned with the Blazers with the hopes of bringing a title to Portland. Dame is an all around point guard who can match up with the best of them. The only drawback is his teammates.
It seems like in every big game Dame has to drag his team to a victory or a close loss. Sometimes he looks like he is the only player who believes that the Blazers can be champions of the NBA.
With last nights victory over the Lakers, favorites to win it all, Dame-Time re-appeared in the fourth quarter; scoring 34 points to lead all players in the game in points. Whether or not you believed that the Blazers were going to lay down and let the Lakers walk into the second round, last nights game assured you that on a neutral court, seedlings don’t matter. Home court advantage goes to whoever wants it most. Portland leads the series 1-0 over the Lakers.
