Devin Haney “The Future Of Boxing”

This idea that the young Devin Haney could be the next Floyd Mayweather and pound-4-pound fighter for years to come isn’t a new idea. Even before he became a pro many inside the boxing ranks new Haney was coming. His quick jab and strategical boxing brilliance has him picking up where Floyd left off, but at the same time creating his own path.

Haney is a product of the Mayweather training academy. From a young age Haney has been training with the Mayweather family, but most don’t know he also had some training lessons from Roy Jones Jr as well. So the legends of boxing have been grooming this young fighter to take over the sport.

Unlike most fighters, Haney is very humble and aware of himself in the ring. There is a maturity about him that gives him the right to push for the best fights at just 21 years old. He holds the WBC Lightweight title and looks to pick up more.

Devin has been itching to fight the best, and he has publicly said he wants to fight Gervonta Davis and Ryan Garcia. Both fighters are more than worthy opponents with the right speed and power to make a match between either Davis or Garcia a major paper view fight. If everyone mentioned can stay undefeated for another year or two and into the welterweight division, these interesting and anticipated fights will create a bigger fight.

Devin’s next fight could be between Gary Russell Jr. or Yuriorkis Gambo; neither of the opponents are expected to challenge Devin in anyway. The young fighter is on a level that has him on the path to greatness.
