Marshawn Lynch becomes minority investor in NHL franchise

The former NFL running back who coined the term “Beast Mode,” just claimed minority stake into NHL franchise Seattle Kraken.

Lynch was drafted in the NFL with the 12th pick overall in 2007 to the Buffalo Bills. After a 3 years in Buffalo, Lynch signed with the Seattle Seahawks where he became a house hold name. Lynch helped lead the Seahawks to a Super Bowl victory in 2013.

The move by Lynch to buy a minority stake into a major sports franchise is one that fits his quote ” Take care of y’all chickens, and take care of y’all mental.” Over the years, the former NFL star has been building up his portfolio of investments.

In 2021, Lynch invested into his hometown soccer team the Oakland Roots. The Roots play in the USL Championship. To go along with his professional sports teams, he currently has a cannabis company, a venture fund, and owns an apparel brand.

Who said you can’t go Beast Mode in the business world too?
