USF Bulls are looking to build an on-campus stadium

The Tampa Bay area might have a new venue to attend in the coming years as University of South Florida are looking to build an on-campus stadium.

The program that joined the FBS division in 2001 received a $5 million gift towards the future project. The school has been sharing a stadium with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for some time now.

A new stadium on campus would help in many areas such as recruiting, student life, and future events the facility could host.

The Bulls biggest rival, the UCF Knights, opened their on-campus stadium in 2007, but was renovated as recently as 2017. The Knights’ stadium, known as the bounce house, holds just under 45,000 fans. The stadium is one of the loudest venues in the Big East.

Since the bounce house opened in 2007, the UCF Knights have been one of the most successful football programs in the country. USF is hoping their new stadium to come will have the same effect.

At this time, there isn’t an exact date when the stadium will be completed. The hope its that the Bulls will have a stadium started and completed by as early as 2026.
