For the second year in a row, the division 2 HBCU conference has partnered with HBCU GO to premier the conferences sporting events. The deal includes live coverage of over 30 plus sporting events and the rights to all of the conference’s sports.
Bryan Allen, the owner of HBCU GO is looking to continue the growth and visibility of HBCU sports across multiple conferences. HBCU GO locked in a deal with the SWAC, which is a division 1 HBCU conference.
With the ever-growing attention to HBCU programs, the free-streaming digital platform allows for the alum of these great universities the opportunity to see their favorite school any and everywhere. CIAA has great momentum going into 2022 as a brand overall. They had one of their own, Joshua Williams, drafted to the Kansas City Chiefs out of Fayetteville State.
The landscape of college football is changing, and the HBCUs are leading the charge. It will be interesting to see how this partnership between the CIAA and HBCU Go will do long-term.
