The state of Florida is the talent hotbed for the college football, and USF is hosting a mega football recruiting camp. The camp is for rising 9th -12th graders looking to get an opportunity to meet over 70 coaches.

Although USF is hosting the event, multiple football programs will have coaches on hand to help assist with the execution of the event.

Many of the participants will have their first opportunity to been evaluated by college scouts. For USF, the goal of this event is to start the rebuilding process for the program.

USF has not had a winning record since 2018. However, USF’s record in 2018 was only 7-6. 2017 was their last 10 win season.

Needless to say, USF is in a unique but critical position as a program. Their biggest rival UCF has officially left a Group of 5 to join the Big 12. The Big 12 is a Power 5 conference. The distance between the programs of the field will continue to grow.

Ultimately, USF will need to rebuild their program so when the next college football conference realignment happens, they’re ready to make the leap.
