The Jacksonville Jaguars made headlines again this week with the opening of their new practice facility. The Miller Electric Center is 125,000 square foot facility and headquarters.
Miller Electric Center holds two full-size grass practice fields and an indoor practice field. Additionally, the practice facility holds locker, training, and medical rooms.
Furthermore, the new practice facility will double as the new team headquarters. It is built with office space, a draft room, viewing stands for fans, concessions, and a team store.
Ultimately, this is phase one of a long-term plan to build the best facilities in the NFL. A few weeks earlier, the Jaguars unveiled proposed renovation plans that could exceed $1 billion. The renovations could have the Jaguars playing in Gainesville in the swamp, or in Daytona at the 500.
Other NFL Stadiums
The Jaguars aren’t the only franchise renovating or building new facilities. The Buffalo Bills have approved a new stadium in Buffalo.
Staying in the Northeast, the New England Patriots just completed renovations on Gillette Stadium. It was the most extensive renovation to the stadium since it opened in 2002.
