HBCU GO locks in media rights deal with the SWAC

A move that initially began in December of 2021, HBCU GO is a free-streaming digital platform that is owned by Byron Allen’s Allen Media Group. HBCU GO is the leading digital platform for over 105 HBCUs and has secured the distribution rights to the Southwestern Athletic Conference.

The deal is a multi-year partnership that gives HBCU GO media rights to the SWAC cable, linear, streaming, and broadcasting. This is the first ever deal that will include live coverage for over 2,000 games and events for the SWAC across multiple sports.

Byron Allen is currently bidding on the Denver Broncos as well as growing HBCU GO. Allen is also the owner of the Weather Channel and many more companies.
